Torchwood

Torchwood is a British science fiction drama created by Russell T. Davies, a spin-off from the long-running science fiction series Doctor Who.

The series follows the adventures of Torchwood Three, a small team of investigators operating in early 21st century Cardiff - a city located along a rift in space and time, a gateway for alien creatures, alien weapons and technology, and time anomalies. Although the public perception of Torchwood is that of a 'special ops group,' it is a covert agency -- separate from the government, beyond the police -- that investigates extraterrestrial incidents on Earth and scavenges alien technology.

Gareth plays efficient administrator Ianto Jones, alongside the mysterious Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman) and ex-policewoman Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles).

Ianto Jones

Ianto deals with all the team's administrative issues. His knowledge is eclectic, his attention to detail unrivalled, and his ability to anticipate the team's needs before they arise is uncanny. He dislikes it when his remarkable efficiency is taken for granted, however, and when?required, he is also more than capable of undertaking field work for the team. -- BBC
